One of the best known and most visited treks in the Annapurna region.

This trek can be done, according to your desire, in lodges accommodation or camping.

You will discover an infinite variety of landscapes, from plains to tropical vegetation, rhododendron forests, through terraced crops to arrive at the arid and mineral landscapes of the “Doors of Mustang”. Offering throughout the hike a breathtaking view of the Annapurnas. The Annapurnas because contrary to popular belief, there are in total five Annapurnas. You will reach villages of Buddhist culture.

Trip Itinerary

  • 1st day: Kathmandu (1320m.) To Besishahar (760m) by bus (around 6h-6h30).

  • 2nd day: From Besishahar to Ngadi (930m) – (about 5h).

  • 3rd day: From Ngadi to Jagat (1300m) – (about 6h).

  • 4e jour : De Jagat à Dharapani (2000m) – (environ 6h-6h30).

  • 5e jour : De Dharapani à Chame (2650m) – (environ 6h-6h30).

  • 6e jour : De Chame à Pisang (3200m) – (environ 5h).

  • 7e jour : De Pisang à Manang (3450m) – (environ 6h).

  • 8e jour : Jour de repos à Manang pour acclimatation. Petite promenade possible dans le village ou monter jusqu’au sommet du glacier du Ganga Purna (environ 3h aller-retout) qui offre une jolie vue sur Manang et sur les montagnes environnantes.

    Possibilité de monter au lac Tilicho : De Manang à Khangsar
    De Khangsar à Tilicho Base Camp
    De Tilicho Base Camp au lac Tilicho et retour au Camp de Base.
    De Tilicho Base Camp à Manang

  • 9e jour : De Manang à Yak Kharka (4000m) – (environ 4h).

  • 10e jour : De Yak Kharka à Thorung Phedi (4500m) – (environ 3h de marche) Possibilité pour les trekkeurs motivés de monter pour dormir au High Camp, ce qui raccourcit la montée au col le lendemain de 1h30 environ.

  • 10e jour : De Yak Kharka à Thorung Phedi (4500m) – (environ 3h de marche) Possibilité pour les trekkeurs motivés de monter pour dormir au High Camp, ce qui raccourcit la montée au col le lendemain de 1h30 environ.

  • 11e jour : De Thorung Phedi à Muktinath (3700m) par le col du Thorong-La (5416 m) – (environ 8 heures de marche). Départ de Thorung Phedi très tôt le matin (3h30 ou 4 heures du matin) afin d’atteindre le col avant que le vent ne se lève et que les nuages arrivent.

  • 12e jour : De Muktinath à Jomsom (2700 m) en passant par Kagbeni, village très typique aux portes du Haut Mustang. Déjeuner à Kagbeni et visite du village – (environ 6h).

    Il est possible de terminer le trek du Tour des Annapurnas à Jomsom et de prendre l’avion pour Pokhara puis un autre vol pour Katmandou. Il est également possible de poursuivre le trek par la vallée de la Kali Gandaki qui offre de merveilleux paysages et la visite de villages comme Marpha, capitale régionale de la culture de pommiers. Pays de l’ethnie Thakali.
    La suite du trek sera alors la suivante :

  • 13e jour : De Jomsom à Tukuche (2500m) – (environ 6h). Déjeuner à Marpha

  • 14e jour : De Tukuche à Ghasa (2090m) – (environ 6h-6h30).

  • 15e jour : De Ghasa à Tatopani (1200m) – (environ 5h30). Tatopani veut dire “Eau chaude” en nepali. Vous pourrez visiter vous relaxer en prenant un petit bain dans des sources d’eau chaude naturelles.

  • 16e jour : De Tatopani à Chitre (2350m) – (environ 4h).

  • 17th day: From Chitre to Ghorepani (2800m) – (about 3h30).

    Possibility to climb the next morning to Poon Hill which offers a view of the Daulaghiri, the Macchapuchare and the Annapurna chain then descend to Ghorepani then overnight in Tadapani. The next day, Tadapani-Ghandruk.

  • 18th day: From Ghorepani to Ghandruk (1955m) – (about 7h). Possible visit to the small traditional Gurung museum in Ghandruk in the evening upon arrival, or the next day before departure for Nayapul.

  • 19th day: From Ghandruk to Nayapul – (about 3h30). Bus to Pokhara.

  • 20th day: From Pokhara to Kathmandu, by plane or bus, depending on your time or your budget.
